Below are a range of online resources which you may find useful:

www.easyhealth.org.uk – Downloadable Easy Read Leaflets over 500 leaflets available covering a range of health conditions from asthma to X rays and scans. Information on food and exercise and health videos.

www.nhs.uk – NHS Choices has a facility which allows pages on their website to be translated. Click on the ‘Translate’ tab at the top right and choose from over 100 different languages.

www.macmillan.org.uk – Macmillan Cancer support produces information in different languages and formats to suit different needs. This includes different languages, audio books, easy read, BSL videos, PDFs and E books.

www.sense.org.uk – Useful resource for deafblind people, their families, professionals and supporters for advice support and useful tips for people living with sensory impairments.

www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk – There are a range of resources available for people with hearing loss on this website.

www.changepeople.org – Resources around Learning Disabilities – in addition to the provision of advice the organisation are also able to produce documents in Easy Read formats.

www.rnib.org.uk – Useful resource for everyone affected by sight loss. The website contains a useful area on ‘information for everyday living’.

www.yourdolphin.com – This company can create accessible information for people with visual impairments, dyslexia and other reading difficulties.

www.allformats.org.uk – All Formats operating within Queen Alexandra College, Harborne, Birmingham. Specialises in transcription of documents into accessible formats including Braille, Large Print and Audio.
